Let's get started with the content preparation, of the Who, What, Why, When on your website.
Step 1. First, you will need to decide what content you want on your website.
Website content is the words or even videos people will read or view when they are on your website. Which can be as simple as having a welcome page, a contact us page, a services page, and an about us page.
Or your website can have more detailed information such as a blog, photo gallery, faq, policies and so on. See examples website add-ons.
Also, consider for example, if you offer multiple services, will all services be listed on one page, or will you require a different page for each service.
Tip: Look at other leading websites in your industry to see their featured content structures. Action step: Prepare the wording for each page of content that you want to have.
Step 2: Decide on any special features or integrations.
If there are special functions that you want to have on your website, decided upon that. If that special function requires a third-party tool that you want to integrate into your website, such as PayPal, scheduling tools, or other integrations ensure you confirm and secure the codes needed to integrate it within your website.
Step 3: Decide on your website color scheme. If you do not already have brand colors for your website, choose 1-3 main colors.
Step 4: Gather all logos or images.
Get your files together that you want to be used on your website. If you will need stock images that you will have the appropriate rights to use on the website you can click here Low-Cost Stock Images
Tip: No you can not just use any image from google, as they are owned by their perspective owners and may be subject to copyright.
Step 5: If you do not already own your domain name, choose a few domain names.
Make a list of about 5-10 domain name ideas, numbering them indicating your first choice, 2nd choice etc. Also decide if you want a .com, .org, etc, we can then proceed into securing the domain name, hosting and site security options.
6. Decide on the type of feel you want your website to have and the actions you want your visitors to take on your website.
